Please note if played in 6 part the soprano players will need to be confident with top Cs and Ds

Players should be confident holding their own rhythms making it a piece for intermediate and up players

Although written for 5 parts the contra part can be doubled on a bass with good effect

This piece takes us through some of the things that happen as the world wakes to a new day. The day is dark and cold to begin with, but the birds still start to sing. Gradually there is light and warmth. But a predator appears. There is
